Assisted Living Director of Nursing/Full Time

Objective:

Direct, plan, organize and develop the overall operation of the Assisted Living in accordance with current regulations. Work with the Director of Nursing, Administrator and Medical Director to ensure that the highest quality of care is maintained at all times.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, and a graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Must possess and maintain a nursing license in good standing with the state of Ohio.
  • Must be able to work without restriction.
  • Demonstrate the following attributes:
    • Must be organized
    • Must make independent decisions
    • Must interact tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public
    • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures as well as

    Assisted Living regulations

    • Must demonstrate leadership and consistency
    • Must “get hands dirty” and be part of the team

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Staffing

    • Hire qualified staff
    • Ensure adequate staff, meeting resident’s needs 24/7/365
    • Oversee scheduling of staff
    • Work as a care giver (nurse or NA) when required

    Service to Residents

    • Ensure the delivery of excellent care and services as well as ensure excellent customer satisfaction
    • Oversee professional standards and ensures staff provides good quality of life and dignity to each resident
    • Oversee the delivery of physician services
    • Work with administrator assessing effectiveness of pharmacy, lab and other ancillary services
    • Oversee the special needs of residents, implementing appropriate policies and procedures for resident care
    • Develop, monitor, update and communicate resident’s individual care plans with staff and families

    Regulation Compliance

    • Maintain compliance with all assisted living regulations, ensuring solid survey/inspection results.

    Goal will be zero deficiencies per inspection

    • Develop, update, implement and manage policies and procedures based on regulations
    • Make rounds, observe staff and manage effectively
    • Monitor documentation and ensure appropriate, timely and accurate documentation is

    Present in the resident’s clinical record

    • Provide appropriate dementia care and mental health in-service training for staff as described in regulation

    Administrative Functions

    • Perform various HR functions including and not limited to the following:
    • payroll items
    • provide adequate counseling, coaching and discipline as needed to supervise staff members , including terminations when appropriate
    • develop and oversee departmental orientation for new employees
    • annual performance evaluations
    • develop and update job descriptions
    • Assist with various WCV committee functions as requested
    • Take on call responsibilities
    • Monitor various vendor bills for accuracy including resident supplies and others as assigned by administrator
    • Participate in QA program and provide appropriate quarterly reports
    • Recommend solutions to problems faced by the Assisted Living, it’s staff, and residents
    • All other duties as assigned

STNA — Full Time, Part Time, Contingent

Our Healthcare Center is currently looking for a caring, kind and devoted individual to join our team! We are currently looking for full-time, part-time, and contingent STNA’s for 1st shift, part-time and contingent for 2nd shift, and a 3rd shift contingent STNA. The individual must be able to work weekends and holiday hours. State Tested Nursing Assistant certification is required. Nursing school students encouraged to apply.

-Assist residents with their activities of daily living.
-Change bed linens and make beds.
-Assist with resident transfers.
-Assist residents with their meal selections and record meal intakes accurately.
-Prepares residents for activities, doctor’s appointments, and going out of the building, etc.
-Answer call lights promptly.
-Must be able to lift without restrictions.
-Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and shift.

The ideal candidate will be caring, kind, and a devoted individual who has a desire to work with the elderly. Must be able to work some weekends and holiday hours.

Contingent LPN and RN

Our community is looking for contingent LPN or RNs to join our team. The successful candidates for this position will have a current nursing license in good standing in the State of Ohio. Long-term care experience is preferred but not required. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
